Conservatively Speaking

State Senator Mary Lazich (R-New Berlin) represents parts of four counties: Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, and Walworth. Her Senate District 28 includes New Berlin, Franklin, Greendale, Hales Corners, Muskego, Waterford, Big Bend and parts of Greenfield, East Troy, and Mukwonago. Senator Lazich has been in the Legislature for more than a decade. She considers herself a tireless crusader for lower taxes, reduced spending and smaller government.

This would have been a good list for Wisconsin

Forbes.com has listed its top ten cities that are the most affordable to retire.

No Wisconsin city made the list.

I am not surprised.

The Forbes Discovery is not surprising at all. Once again Wisconsin is a tax hell that taxes residents while they work and after they retire. Why would anyone want to pay taxes on retirement money that was already taxed while they were working then get slapped with more taxes at retirement. I would move too. Just think state taxes, county taxes, local taxes, income taxes, property taxes, sales taxes, restrictive big government, spend more and tax more with no real increase in the quality of living.  I don't like to be gloomy, but I too will be moving to get away from the chains of tax slavery. People need to wake up and get involved in government at the state and local levels. Where is the outrage or the anger for what politicians are doing with our hard earned money. What ever happened to government by the people and for the people? We need to cut big government spending and have a healthy low taxes on business and people in this state which will foster growth. Our current system is so counter-productive and biased.
