The Wauwatosa Crime Stoppers, in conjunction with the Wauwatosa Savings Bank, Reinhart Foods, Starbucks Coffee and Metcalfe’s Sentry are sponsoring the fifth annual "Pancakes with Mom" breakfast. 1235 people attended last year's event which raised much needed funds for The Wauwatosa Crime Stoppers. This year's event will be held on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 13, 2007 from 8:00am to 12:00pm at The Muellner Building at Hart Park, located at 7300 W. Chestnut St. in the city of Wauwatosa.

The event will offer all you can eat pancakes with syrup and fruit toppings, Klement’s sausage, Starbucks coffee, juice, milk, fresh fruit, and applesauce. There will also be flowers for Mom, live music, balloons, an art area, games and prizes for the kids Advance tickets will be sold for $6.00 for adults, $3.00 for children age 3-12, and children under age 3 are free. Tickets may be purchased at The Little Read Book Store, located at 7603 W. State St. in Wauwatosa. People who purchase their tickets in advance will have their own entrance for speedy seating. Tickets will also be available at the door on the day of the event. In addition to breakfast everyone who purchases a ticket will be eligible to enter any of the several door prize drawings. Last year’s door prizes totaled over $3,000 in value. All proceeds from this event will benefit The Wauwatosa Crime Stoppers, a citizen advisory board that operates on donations to reward callers. Individuals who call with information are assigned a code number, and instructed to call back at a later date. If the information leads to an arrest, the Crime Stoppers board will determine the amount of the reward, which may be as much as $1,000.00 cash.

In 2006 The Wauwatosa Crime Stoppers received 17 separate tips, which resulted in 7 arrests, solved 5 separate crimes. The Crime Stoppers board disbursed $2,000 in rewards.

Besides being able to purchase your tickets at the Little Read Book, you may also call the Wauwatosa Police Department’s Community Support Division at 414-471-8430 Ext. 111 to make arrangements to purchase your tickets at the Police Department.

If you wish to make a monetary donation to, become a corporate sponsor or member of the Wauwatosa Crime Stoppers please contact Officer Don Semega at 414-471-8430 Ext. 114. Or, better yet, attend the breakfast and seek out a member of the Crime Stoppers for more information!

We are also seeking volunteers above the age of 12 to help with serving, clean up and restocking. This is a great way to earn service hours and boost a personal portfolio. To volunteer call 414-471-8430 Ext. 114; you can leave a voice mail but please include your name and call back number. You may also email me at dsemega@wauwatosa.net
