The Bay View Neighborhood Association in proud partnership with the Milwaukee County Parks are thrilled to welcome Cathouse Drifters to the stage at Chill on the Hill. The fun starts at 6:00pm, so bring your friends, your kids, your dog or just yourself and be prepared to enjoy an evening of honky-tonk twang and country-western swing. Shorts and cowboy boots recommended, but not required. Opening act is youth orchestra The Magnificant Performing Strings, comprised of musicians ranging from Kindergarten through high school, so don't be tardy!
Chill on the Hill takes place every Tuesday night this summer at the Humboldt Park bandshell in beautiful Bay View. Parking is plentiful and the Milwaukee County Parks concessions truck will be on hand with Miller Chill beer, brats and other delicious treats for your picnicing pleasure.
Inspired by the likes of Hank Williams and Buck Owens, Cathouse Drifters is a four-piece band focusing on tradtional country-western music of the 1940s and '50s. Comprised of former members of the Western Starlanders, these well-schooled and well-heeled musicians will delight with swinging originals as well as classics from artists such as Johnny Horton, Hank Thompson, Johnny Cash and Jack Guthrie to name a few up their sleeve.
